The Process

How We Help You Win the Lottery

Navigating CFD boundaries, application windows, and the draw timeline can be overwhelming. We've guided many families through this process — and this is our passion.

01
Verify Your CFD
Enrollment priority at D39C is given to families residing in CFDs 4, 6, 8, 12, 13, 14, and 15. We identify exactly which CFD a home falls in — often by checking the property tax bill or PUSD's address look-up tool.
02
Find Eligible Homes
We search active, coming-soon, and off-market listings within qualifying CFD boundaries.
03
Buy & Move Before January
The AMS interest form typically closes January 31st. You need to be a resident of a qualifying CFD before that window opens. We work urgently to get you into the right home — on time.
04
Understand the Draw
The draw is fully automated — D39C confirmed it considers CFD participation and grade-level space availability. No one can influence the outcome or waitlist position. Being in the right CFD is what gives your family the best shot. If selected, you have 48 hours to accept.
2027–28 Enrollment Timeline

Key Dates & Deadlines

The 2026–27 cycle has closed. The dates below show how the last cycle unfolded — confirmed directly by D39C — so you know exactly what to expect and plan for when the 2027–28 window opens in January 2027.

2027 — Projected
AMS Interest Form Opens
The interest list for 2027–28 is projected to open in January 2027 — based on the 2026–27 cycle which ran January 7–31. Families must already reside in a qualifying CFD. Important: Interest lists do not roll over — you must reapply each year.
Plan For This Now
Mid-Jan
2027 — Projected
Parent Tours
Tours typically run alongside the interest form window. In 2026–27 they concluded January 20. Plan to attend — it's the best way to confirm D39C is the right fit before committing.
Late Jan
2027 — Projected
AMS Interest Window Closes
In 2026–27 the window closed January 31 — a hard cutoff. You must be a CFD resident and have submitted before this date to be included in the draw. Missing this means waiting another full year.
Hard Deadline
Early Feb
2027 — Projected
PUSD New Student Enrollment Opens
All families new to PUSD must submit a New Student Enrollment packet to their school of residence (SOR). If you accept a D39C invitation, the SOR transfers the packet automatically. Required regardless of D39C outcome.
Mid-Feb
2027 — Projected
Enrollment Draw Held
The draw is fully automated — confirmed by D39C. The algorithm considers CFD participation and grade-level space availability. No one can influence the draw, its outcomes, or waitlist position. Invitations are emailed in the weeks following.
48 Hours
Post-Invitation
Accept Your Invitation
Families must respond to their acceptance email within 48 hours or the spot is forfeited to the next family on the waitlist. Stay ready — this window is firm.

Waitlist Reopens for CFD Families
In past cycles the waitlist reopened roughly one month after the draw for CFD families as seats became available. D39C continues reaching out to waitlisted families through October of the starting school year.
Priority Enrollment Districts

The 7 Qualifying CFDs

Enrollment priority at D39C is given to families in these Community Facilities Districts. D39C construction was fully funded by CFD special taxes — which is why residents receive first access to the draw. The draw is entirely automated, reviewing CFD population and grade-level space availability before each cycle. All 7 CFDs are treated fairly and impartially — no CFD is guaranteed more spots than another. Verify your CFD on your property tax bill or via the PUSD address look-up tool.

Our Story

We've Been Helping Buyers For a Long Time

When Design39Campus first opened in 2014, Daren recognized it as something special — and began dedicating himself to understanding every detail of the CFD eligibility process, the application system, and the draw timeline.

We've become a go-to resource for families navigating the D39C lottery. The school serves ~1,250 students in grades TK–8 and is recognized nationally for its design-thinking approach — nurturing creative confidence, inquiry-based learning, and a growth mindset.

Important note: PUSD does not provide bus service to D39C. Location matters — and we help you find a home close to campus in a qualifying CFD.
